Piercings and Tattoos!

Hey everyone!

So today I want to talk about something you probably didn't know about me! Most of my posts on here are not quite personal entries so today I kind of wanted to mix it up a bit and let you know about me a bit more, instead of me reviewing a product or giving lifestyle advice. Now I know that this topic won't be everyone's cup of tea but I'm  the type of girl that loves tattoos and piercings.  

 I don't have that many piercings, currently I have 5 piercings, and I am definitely going to be getting at least 4 more in the next couple of years. The first thing I got pierced was my ears, but it did not go quite smoothly. When I was about 4 I really wanted to get my ears pierced and kept bugging my mom to get it done, so finally she let up and brought me to get it done. Well this was in the 90's still and getting pierced back then was not as nice as it is now, they used to use a piercing gun that was super loud and to my 4 year old ears, it seemed very scary. needles to say I came out of that with only one ear pierced. A few years later I was down in the USA with my dad and I decided that I again wanted to get my ears pierced  and thankfully by then the piercing guns weren't as loud and I finally had my ears pierced. 

Then came 7th grade when I decided I wanted wanted to get my ears pierced for the second time. Again this time wasn't scary and it did't really hurt, just stung a bit, but nothing too hard to handle. So I had 4 piercing by the 7th grade which was not enough for me. For years I wanted another piercing but never got around to it until this year. This year I got my belly button pierced which was probably my best piercing experience. This was my first piercing without a piercing gun, instead a needle was used. I sat waiting for it happen and I didn't even feel it when he did the piercing and it was over before I knew it. The next piercings I know for sure that I am going to be getting is a tragus in my right ear, an industrial in my right ear, and a third lobe piercing in both ears. I will be getting at least one of these done by the end of this year, which I am very excited for!

Now, on to tattoos! I got my first tattoo this year and I know for sure that it will not be my last. So during Christmas break I went back to my home town and saw family and friends. Well when I was out with my friends I talked about how I wanted to get a tattoo pretty soon, and one of my best friends suggested that we all get one representing out friendship. So in January we all got our first tattoo, which was kind of painful but not so bad because none of us flinched which was pretty amazing since ankle tattoos can be one of the most painful. As soon as it was done though it didn't hurt at all and it only took a couple of weeks to heal which I was happy about! I will probably be getting another tattoo done within the next year and a half  so I can't wait to get that done!

Struggles

Hey everyone!

So I know I haven't been on here for about a week now, and I am sorry if you were looking forward to reading my posts. I had this whole month planned out so I wouldn't miss any entries but as the month played out, it didn't work out that way. Now I wish I could tell you I had a really good reason for not being able to post, but that isn't the case. 

As you may or may not know I went to Toronto a little over a week ago and I did some pretty awesome things with some really cool people. I went to Warped Tour for the first time which was so amazing and the day after that, or I should say the night after that I went out to another event. I went to basically a rave which was super awesome, and fun, especially since it was one where everyone was showered with paint. It was such a cool experience and  I've never been to a rave before but it was simply amazing! 

Now you are probably wondering why I am telling you this. My reasoning for not posting may or may not seem or sound ridiculous but recently I have begun to feel quite lonely. I am 20 now and I am having those feelings where it seems everyone around has a significant other, but me. Now this is where the story of paint comes in. During paint I danced with a few guys ( and may or may not have shared a few kisses), but in the group that I went with there was someone that I spent most of the night dancing with ( and no we didn't do anything besides dance). Now this is where I get ridiculous. I have not had a boyfriend in quite a long time, have not dated for a little over a year because I wanted to get settled with university. Since coming home from Toronto I have begun to feel very lonely and upset because I feel like everyone around me has a significant other while I am alone. 

I know this may seem ridiculous to most of you but I was feeling this so greatly that I couldn't be motivated to write something worth reading so that is why I have not posted. It's not like I want to necessarily be with the person I spent most of my night with at paint, I just miss the feeling of affection, and intimacy that being with someone brings. I want to be able to text someone and have cute romantic conversations, or cuddle with someone when I want to cuddle. In all honesty I just want to feel wanted.

So I'm sorry for missing out on my regular entries but I just could bring myself to write anything. If anyone else feels this way please let me know so we can chat and feel this way together. Also, if you have gotten over these types of feeling before please let me in on your secret! :)

Always Have Confidence

Hey everyone!

So for my video of the week I wanted to bring it to a more serious topic because the past few weeks have been more fun and entertaining videos, which is fine,  but it's nice to talk about the serious stuff as well.

A video came out this week which spoke about a girls confidence and it made me think that still in today's world we in some situations can still be seen as not as good as a boy. Now don't get me wrong this is not some big rant about feminism but as this video shows there is a line when we grow up that is crossed where we no longer have the same confidence as we did when we were younger. This could be a factor of many things, situations, and people but clearly there is something wrong when a 10 year old knows to be themselves to say a 16 who has taken an idea to heart and no longer thinks of a "girl" as a positive thing.

As you can probably tell this is a video of multiple people both female and male in varying ages acting "like a girl". All of the male's make girls out to be a group of people that can't properly do something, for example not able to throw a ball properly. Not only is it the males that think this, it is also the older females too. There is hope though, because the younger girls show the proper way to throw, run, and fight, they don't act like a group of people that are weaker they act like a group of the same level. This is a video that will really make you question your out look on certain things but definitely in a good way. Always did a fantastic job on this video, not matter if it was for promotional purposes or not, it was really well done and was able to get their point across.

Life Update

Hey everyone!

Today’s entry is going to be a little different from what I usually post, simply because I have a lot that has happened over the past couple of weeks and things that are about to happen. So I thought that I would make just one big post basically is a life update.

So a few weeks ago I ordered furniture from Ikea which is supposed to come in on July 8^th. I am super excited and cannot wait until it all arrives because finally after two months I will have a room that looks fully put together.  Also, not only am I getting new furniture I am also painting my room at the beginning of next week! Currently my room is an ugly shade of blue, and an ugly shade of yellow, what I plan to do is make one half of my room a very pretty shade of purple and the other half a light cream colour. I will be posting pictures after everything is done you can actually see what I’m talking about. So this should all be done by the middle of next week!

This weekend that just past was also a very exciting and adventurous weekend. On Saturday it was one of my best friends birthdays so we went to Toronto for the day and did quite a lot of fun stuff! We first went to the Steam Whistle which was really cool, you go in and buy your tour then you can get a glass of complimentary Steam Whistle Beer. During the tour you get to see how they create their beer and get to learn the history of the building and the company, all while having another drink. We then walked over to the Rogers Center where we got to watch a Blue Jays game, followed by dinner at a place called Cheesewerks where they make the best grilled cheese ever!  We then ended the night by going to the World Pride street party which was definitely a good experience. The music was fantastic, people were all dressed up in amazing costumes, and everyone was able to drink in the streets which I was hesitant to do since there was police around, but they allowed it, all in it was a fantastic time.

I also saw my family this weekend for Canada Day. Almost every year we go and watch fireworks at a place called Riverside Park where we spend part of the afternoon letting the kids play at the park and just enjoying the nice weather until it’s time for the show. After fireworks are finishes we head home and it’s become tradition to order pizza afterword’s. I traveled back to Guelph this afternoon because I work tonight but I’m not staying here long because I’m going back to Toronto Tomorrow.

The reason I am going down to Toronto tomorrow is because I am having a visit with one of my best friends. On Friday we are going to Warped Tour which I am excited for because I have never gone before and we will probably just watch a movie when we get back to her place. Then on Saturday I’m spending half of my day with her before meeting up with other people because I am going to an event called Paint Party! The morning after Paint Party I will be traveling back to Guelph where my plans for my room commence!
