LUSH Hair Saviours!

Hey everyone! 

Now reading the title of this post you most likely think that I am exaggerating how well these products have worked for me. I am not. I have very difficult hair, it doesn't like to cooperate with me and has a mind of its own. I have a hair type, that is curly, thick, and frizzy, so it is a super difficult hair type to work with.

I have had little luck with hair products making my hair styled in a consistent way. I could be using the same product twice in a row and one day my hair will look really nice and the next day I would do my hair in the exact same way but it will look completely different, and in those cases I usually end up putting my hair up. However, I have recently found products that keep my hair from acting crazy.

So, I went to LUSH looking to pick up a few face masks like I like when one of the lovely workers complimented me on my hair. I thanked her and jokingly said something along the lines of  " Thank you, but it is difficult to manage," She asked me what I used for my hair and during this time I was experimenting with different products. She then asked if I had every used the R&B Hair Moisturizer. Well when I came up to the front with what I wanted to purchase she gave me a sample size of the R&B and I went of my merry way. Little did I know how great the product was going to be.

I ended up loving the R&B Hair Moisturizer sample that I got and once the sample size was gone I went back to LUSH to pick up a full pot size. While I got that I also got their Sea Spray which holds hair in place. I use both of these products daily, starting with putting the R&B moisturizer in my hair and once my hair is styled how I like it I use the Sea Spray to hold it all in place. I really like these products and if you have difficult hair like I do I highly recommend these products!

LUSH Goodies!

Hey everyone!

So today has kind of been the best day every for me! As most of you know I started by first year of university last year and I was a BAH Psychology major, but not long after starting university I knew that it was not what I wanted to do. So over all of last year and the beginning of this year I was working to switch into the Studio Art program. Well, as of today I am officially in it!! I am SO happy and excited to finally be in the program that I want to be in and not have to worry about it anymore! Anyways that is enough on that, I'm sure you want to be reading more about the LUSH goodies I just got.

A few days ago I got a text from my mom asking if I could pick her up some of the new LUSH products that are inspired by Halloween. Now for a little background story into my moms new obsession with LUSH. In my hometown Cambridge there is no LUSH store, so for a very long time we didn't know what LUSH was except for a few gifts from my Aunt that came from LUSH. Well this summer we went to Toronto for the week and of course we went shopping and well I guess you can probably see where this is going. No? Well we went to LUSH! Now I have been to Lush before this because where I'm going to University they have a LUSH in the mall, but my mom has never been to one before this summer. She looked like she was in heaven, we not only went there once in the week we were in Toronto, we went their multiple times and each time we came out with more products. Since our trip to Toronto my mom has ordered products online because she is obsessed. 

Anyways, so she texted me a few days ago asking me to pick up some of their new bath products because she knows that their is one where I am living. I am going down to her place this weekend because in Canada this weekend is Thanksgiving so because I was already planning to go down I could easily bring the goodies with me. 

So here is what I got!

Now, I know the Phoenix Rising Bath Bomb isn't one of the new ones but it is one of my favourties and it smells like apple cinnamon so it is kind of related to Halloween/ Fall so I decided to pick that one up as well. I am super excited to try some of these out and have somewhat of a relaxing weekend! I do have midterms to study for because I am one of the lucky ones with 3 on the first day back from the holiday, but these will definitely help me relax and stay calm for my midterms! 

This weekend is a nice little break from school and I am going back home so I have actually decided to vlog during this weekend. I haven't decided if I want to have them as daily vlogs or just one big vlog but as I start it I will see how much footage I get of my days, so I guess that is something to kind of look forward to :)

Lush Haul!

Hey everyone!

While I was in Toronto I stopped by the Lush located in the Eaton Centre and got some goodies to take back with me.

 I didn’t just go into Lush once, I bought some stuff one day and went back the next day and picked up some more stuff. If you don’t know what Lush is, it is a fantastic store that has handmade bath bombs, facial masks, soaps, and so much more. If you have one near you and have never gone in I highly suggest you do because you will fall in love with it. 

Grease Lightning - $13.95

So in my first trip into Lush I picked up a bottle of Grease Lightning which is supposed to take care of spots and cleanse your skin. I have used this quite a lot recently and it seems like it is doing its job and is reducing the size of any spots that I may have. 

Mask of Magnaminty - $12.95

Also on my first trip I got the Mask of Magnaminty. This is used to deeply cleanse the skin and it with the minty scent it smells great while it does it's job. You only leave it on for a maximum of 10 minutes but in those 10 minutes you can feel it cleansing you skin which is something that I like in a cleansing face mask.

Herbalism - $13.95

On my second trip into Lush I picked up a few more products including Herbalism. This is another skin care product and when I have used this I use this just before the Mask of Magnaminty and end my pampering by using the Grease Lighting. This product you only have to use small amounts and it is only to be on you skin for between 1-2 minutes. This is a product that is geared towards oily and blemish-prone skin so if you have similar skin to mine you will love this product!

Sweetie Pie - $6.95

Now those that are recurring shoppers at Lush know that you can't leave the store without getting at least one thing for a bath, or shower.  This is their Sweetie Pie Shower Jelly and I have not used it yet but it smells fantastic so I will be using this on my next day off. 

Bubble Gum Lip Scrub - $9.95

This was also my first time getting one of their Lip Scrubs in the scent Bubble Gum. This is to use when you lips have gotten a bit dry and when you use this it will smooth out you skin, it is like using an exfoliator on you you face, but this is specifically to be used on you lips. It is made with castor sugar so you do not have to worry if any gets into you mouth, and it's pretty tasty! 

Fresh Farmacy - $15.12 (price depends on the weight of the bar)

Now this is something that I also have not used yet and I am waiting until my next day off to use this product as well. This is Lush's Fresh Farmacy bar and it is for people that have sensitive skin and also skin that is prone to breakouts. When I do use this I will definitely let you know how I like it. 

The Godmother - $6.80

I also got their Godmother Soap which I also have not gotten the chance to use yet but it smells fantastic. It has the scent of cotton candy so being able to smell like cotton candy is something that I am definitely looking forward to.

So yeah, that was my big Lush Haul. Any of the products on here that I haven't used yet I will be making an updated post later on and let you all know how I like the products after I get to use them.
