ipsy June 2014 Glam Bag Review

Hey everyone!

So before I get into the main part of my post I am going to begin with a little story. So last Saturday I got a text from my mom asking if I would be able to come down and celebrate my little sisters 3rd birthday, she didn’t think I would be able to make it but I had the next two days off so I was actually able travel back home. So Sunday morning I got on the bus and arrived in my hometown around 1:30. So Sunday was spent celebrating my sister’s birthday and being able to catch up with my family. Monday morning I mostly just spent time at my mom’s before traveling back to my house in the afternoon. As I was traveling back home I all of a sudden realized that I had my laptop but had forgot my charger at my mom’s. I was already too far away to try to go back so I realized that I had to survive without my laptop for the next few days. After I made my transfer and hoped on the next bus I was looking outside the window when I heard a weird noise and felt wetness. The baby that was in front of me on his/her mother lap puked on me. As soon as I realized what had happened I’m pretty sure I pulled a disgusted face and what upset me most about the situation is that yes the mother apologized to me and got her husband to get me a cloth to clean up, but she didn’t seem sincere with her apology and didn’t seem like she really cared about what happened. I know if I was in the mother’s situation I would have apologized about a hundred times and gave the affected person all the wet napkins that I had. So suffice it to say that was not a fun afternoon.

Now you may be wondering why I told that story. Well for one it was such a bad afternoon and a good story to tell so I figured that I should share it with all of you. As well that because I had left my charger at my mom’s house I was unable to put up my entry yesterday which I was so disappointed about. I tried to figure out a way to put it up but there was no way that I could do it.  So for my forgetfulness I am sorry!

So this is a post about my favourite part of the month (obviously not the monthly visit from the devil, the good visit from the make-up gods.) If you couldn’t tell by the title of this entry this is all about the June ipsy Glam Bag!

So this months Glam Bag Came late last week and I was very happy with everything that I received. I have yet to use most of these products just because lately I have been so busy and working a lot and have not been wearing much make-up lately because I have been having issues with spots and what not so I've just been wearing as little as possible or none at all. So when I have fully tried everything I will let you know what I think.

This is Marc Anthony's Dream Waves Beach Spray which I have gotten a chance to use. Beach Wave sprays are very popular this year and now I understand why. I do have naturally curly hair but this helped to keep the curls nice and not become crazy looking. Plus it smells amazing so that is always a plus.

These are OLEHENRIKSEN truth to go wipes which I have not yet used because just before I got my ipsy bag I needed new make-up wipes so I have a fair sized package or wipes. So I will be using what I bought before I try these ones out!

Be A Bombshell is a cosmetic brand that I have not used before so I am very excited to try their Lash Out Mascara. It seems like any other drugstore mascara but I have not tried it so I don't know for sure but the brush doesn't seem to be anything too special, but once I give it a go I will let you all know how I feel about it.

I was super excited to see NYX's Butter Gloss in their Eclair shade. I have been wanting to try their Butter Gloss for quite a while now but have never gotten around to buying one so when I saw this I was very happy! This is a really nice shade, it's is a slightly different tone than my actual lips so it is a nice product to use when you want just a slight bit of colour, and nothing too crazy.

Now this is a Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner by Jesse's Girl and surprisingly I haven't used it yet. The last liquid liner that I got was just not something that impressed me and I have been wanting to try a new brand because I have heard great things about liquid liners and I don't want to give up on them. I will definitely be using this in the next few days because it had been hard to resist so you will know soon enough if this is a good product or not.

So I hope you can forgive me for posting this a day late, I did my best to figure out a way to put it up but without my charger it was next to impossible. If you have used any of these products before or received any different products in you ipsy Glam Bag let me know!

Take care! xxx

Chella Eyeliner Pen Review

Hey everyone!

I know I didn’t post anything last week and I am very sorry for that. I had all of my final exams last week so I spent my entire week studying and did not have time to make entries to my blog like I wanted to. Since I am now finished my first year of university I should have more free time so I might be able to make more than 3 posts in a week.

Anyways, today I am reviewing Chella’s Eyeliner Pen in Indigo Blue. This is almost like a liquid liner but the liner itself is slightly different than usual liquid eyeliner. With regards to this product I really like the simple packaging and that the text on the packaging is the colour of the liner which is a nice feature. I also really like the colour of this product because it just adds a nice pop of colour to any look that you are to make. Applying this though is not as easy as most would think. I found this to be a slightly difficult product to use because it did not apply very smoothly and when it did eventually apply it didn’t evenly distribute the liner so I had to go over a spot multiple times for it to be even. So that was disappointing.

When I was finally finished apply this liner I did like the look of it but to get to the finished look it took more time than I thought it should have. I wouldn’t suggest buying this product because it is about $25.00 but if you get this as a gift or something than I wouldn’t just write it off. I will be playing around with this product a bit more to see if I can get a better result than I did with my first time applying it, so I will keep you updated.

The cute packaging!
What the pen tool looks like.

What the actual colour looks like.
If you have any suggestions on which products I should review next let me know! Or if you have any questions feel free to ask me anything.
