Hey everyone!
So I have realized that I haven't posted an ipsy review since August which I am extremely disappointed in myself about. I have been getting them each month so I have no excuse as to why I was posting them anymore. That however is changing now, and I will continue to post one each month since the ipsy seems to be a very popular post of mine.
For those that do not know what ipsy is, it is a monthly subscription where you can receive 5 make-up items. It is only about $15 including shipping and handling, well for me anyways. I live in Ontario so if you are in the U.S.A. I'm assuming it would be a bit of a lower price.
The First item out of the bag was A. H. A. 3% Facial Cleanser by Beauty Without Cruelty. This is a gel cleanser that begins to foam as you begin to massage it into your skin. I have used it and as I do have sensitive skin It wasn't exactly harsh it just seemed to dry my skin slightly so I personally would use this more than once a week. However it did seem to do exactly what it said it would, and I always love trying out new facial products.
The next item is NYX Cosmetics Butter lip Balm in Marshmallow, so their nude Butter Balm. I'm not going to lie, I was kind of disappointed that I received this shade I was hoping for Red Velvet or Lady Fingers. I do like this product but a nude colour doesn't really suit since I am pale, brighter colours are usually what I prefer.
The next product I pulled out I was super excited about! It is Pixi by Petra and it's their Fairy Dust in the shade Brightening Bare. I really like this and I tend to use more natural tones as eyeshadows so this was completely perfect. The way the product is designed though is slightly strange so to get the product out is kind of difficult.
I also received the Electroplated Eyelash Curler by Swissco. I was needing a new eyelash curler and it is an electric purple colour so this was perfect!
Finally, the best for last! A sample size of tarte's deluxe lights, camera, lashes 4-in-1 mascara! If you have had a tarte mascara before you know how wonderful and amazing they are. I was so happy to get this in this months bag and is such a great mascara and makes my small eyelashes quite a lot of volume.
This months bag was a fantastic early Christmas present (from myself) and ipsy never seems to disappoint. I hope you guys are ready for my video on Sunday I am filming it earlier tomorrow just so I know for sure that I have enough time to edit it and post it! As well on Friday I will be posting my weekly favourites video, as per usual ( or what was usual)!
Take care! xxx

ipsy June 2014 Glam Bag Review
Hey everyone!
So before I get into the main part of my post I am going to
begin with a little story. So last Saturday I got a text from my mom asking if
I would be able to come down and celebrate my little sisters 3rd
birthday, she didn’t think I would be able to make it but I had the next two
days off so I was actually able travel back home. So Sunday morning I got on
the bus and arrived in my hometown around 1:30. So Sunday was spent celebrating
my sister’s birthday and being able to catch up with my family. Monday morning
I mostly just spent time at my mom’s before traveling back to my house in the afternoon.
As I was traveling back home I all of a sudden realized that I had my laptop
but had forgot my charger at my mom’s. I was already too far away to try to go
back so I realized that I had to survive without my laptop for the next few
days. After I made my transfer and hoped on the next bus I was looking outside
the window when I heard a weird noise and felt wetness. The baby that was in
front of me on his/her mother lap puked on me. As soon as I realized what had
happened I’m pretty sure I pulled a disgusted face and what upset me most about
the situation is that yes the mother apologized to me and got her husband to
get me a cloth to clean up, but she didn’t seem sincere with her apology and didn’t
seem like she really cared about what happened. I know if I was in the mother’s
situation I would have apologized about a hundred times and gave the affected
person all the wet napkins that I had. So suffice it to say that was not a fun
afternoon.
Now you may be wondering why I told that story. Well for one
it was such a bad afternoon and a good story to tell so I figured that I should
share it with all of you. As well that because I had left my charger at my mom’s
house I was unable to put up my entry yesterday which I was so disappointed about.
I tried to figure out a way to put it up but there was no way that I could do
it. So for my forgetfulness I am sorry!
So this is a post about my favourite part of the month (obviously
not the monthly visit from the devil, the good visit from the make-up gods.) If
you couldn’t tell by the title of this entry this is all about the June ipsy
Glam Bag!
So this months Glam Bag Came late last week and I was very happy with everything that I received. I have yet to use most of these products just because lately I have been so busy and working a lot and have not been wearing much make-up lately because I have been having issues with spots and what not so I've just been wearing as little as possible or none at all. So when I have fully tried everything I will let you know what I think.
This is Marc Anthony's Dream Waves Beach Spray which I have gotten a chance to use. Beach Wave sprays are very popular this year and now I understand why. I do have naturally curly hair but this helped to keep the curls nice and not become crazy looking. Plus it smells amazing so that is always a plus.
These are OLEHENRIKSEN truth to go wipes which I have not yet used because just before I got my ipsy bag I needed new make-up wipes so I have a fair sized package or wipes. So I will be using what I bought before I try these ones out!
Be A Bombshell is a cosmetic brand that I have not used before so I am very excited to try their Lash Out Mascara. It seems like any other drugstore mascara but I have not tried it so I don't know for sure but the brush doesn't seem to be anything too special, but once I give it a go I will let you all know how I feel about it.
I was super excited to see NYX's Butter Gloss in their Eclair shade. I have been wanting to try their Butter Gloss for quite a while now but have never gotten around to buying one so when I saw this I was very happy! This is a really nice shade, it's is a slightly different tone than my actual lips so it is a nice product to use when you want just a slight bit of colour, and nothing too crazy.
So I hope you can forgive me for posting this a day late, I did my best to figure out a way to put it up but without my charger it was next to impossible. If you have used any of these products before or received any different products in you ipsy Glam Bag let me know!
Take care! xxx
