Stress!

Hey everyone,

So today I want to talk about stress and the things that come with having stress. So my life right now is pretty crazy because I finished my first year of university so I’ve been back home since April 12th which has been really nice since I’ve gotten to spend time with my family and see some friends that I haven’t seen for a couple months. So as nice as it has been being back home for the past month I am actually moving into my own place with four other girls in just two days. As much as I am excited about having my own place, I am also very stressed because I still have yet to find a job and I am waiting to see if I will be getting a line of credit that I applied for.

Now I know it sounds silly to be moving into my own place without having a job to support myself but I signed for the house back in February and figured by this point in time that I would have found a job by now. I was wrong. I have been looking for a job for quite a while now but I started seriously looking in March, and by seriously looking I mean looking online every day to see if any jobs have opened up positions. I did end up having an interview almost a month ago and did get the job but I was unable to accept it due to unavailable transportation, which really sucked but there wasn’t anything I could do about it. So not only am I moving into my house on Wednesday I have an interview that day as well as on Thursday so fingers crossed that I get at least one of those jobs. As I also mentioned, I also applied for a line of credit because I am worried that I will not have to money to financially support myself and I will hear if I get it or not by either this upcoming Friday or early next week. So, I have a lot on my plate and it’s been getting to me more and more as these dates have been getting closer and this stress has taken a toll on me.

The stress that I have been facing is mostly due to financial stress because I do not currently have a job and won’t be able to support myself fully when I move out in a couple days, but I am also experiencing stress because I am officially moving out of my mom’s house and will be off on my own in this big scary world. The stress symptoms that I have been getting in the past week is that my skin has decided to turn on me and breakout which sucks but I am getting it under control ( or at least more than it has been) and that I have been losing sleep. I can deal with my skin with products and whatnot but my loss of sleep has been really effecting me but making me moody, obviously exhausted, and stress more. In the past week on average I get about a maximum of four hours of sleep a night and this isn’t because I’ve had caffeine or eating before bed because I am watching what I’m drinking and eating, It’s all due to stress. There isn't much to do in this situation but wait it out and wait to move in, have my interviews, and wait for the results for the line of credit.  Now I am hoping by the end of this week and into next week my stress will be relieved by hearing some good news but If not I will have to take action in finding some ways to reduce the stress.

Anyways, that is it for today. I know this post is kind of long but I wanted to express how I've been for the past week because it sucks but a lot of people go through this and it’s good to get it out to the public and show that it’s normal but people deal with this kind of thing differently than others. Hopefully you are living a stress free life but if not let me know what you are stressing over, and how you deal with it!

Frozen With a Twist

Hey everyone!

So I think my favourite video of the week has to be Navy Baseball does Frozen. If you love Frozen as much as I do you will absolutely think that this video is perfect. Even if you are not a fan of Frozen I’m sure you would find some enjoyment out of watching this video because it’s cute, funny, and everything you need in life.

This video is a lip singing or lip dub video, whatever you want to call it, and it is amazing. They are totally in sync and are very into their parts. They definitely get into the parts they are playing and I have to say it was very entertaining to watch. I loved all the facial expressions that they make when singing and they look at the camera and at each other at the perfect time. A nice little touch was at the end was when the third guy popped out at the end to witness the proposal. There’s not much else to say about this video so go watch it and see how good it is yourself!

As per usual feel free to leave any questions that you may have or suggestions of what I should talk about next!

Quick and Easy Brownie In a Mug Recipe!

Hey everyone!

Today I’ve decided to change things up a bit and talk about an easy recipe that is quick to make, and yummy to eat. This is a great recipe if you only want to make a single serving or if you only have a limited amount of time to make a yummy treat. I wouldn’t say that this is the healthiest of treats but it sure is yummy!

For this recipe you will need:

A mug
2 tablespoons of melted butter or margarine
2 tablespoons of water
½ tablespoon of vanilla extract
2 tablespoons of flour
2 tablespoons of sugar
2 tablespoons of cocoa powder
And a pinch of salt
Optional: Berries to put on top when finished cooking

In my opinion it is easier to start by melting the butter in the mug so that there is a minimal amount of dishes being dirtied. Then go on by adding the water and vanilla extract. After those ingredients have been added to the mug add the rest of the ingredients in any order because this is a recipe that doesn’t have to follow a specific guideline.  After all the ingredients have been added to the mug mix it together until it is a smooth and even consistency.  When you are all done mixing pop the mug into the microwave for between 45-60 seconds (depending on the power of your microwave.) Now you can enjoy your delicious treat, but if you want to add a final step feel free to add a few berries on top to make it even better!

The finished product!
I hope that you enjoy this recipe because I know I do! This is perfect if you are only making food for yourself and don’t want to have to make a full batch of something to enjoy a yummy dessert from time to time. I know personally this is a great recipe for students because it’s easy to make and you don’t have to make a big batch that could possible go to waste.

If you have any questions about this or anything else let me know! :)

Physicians Formula Supper BB Cream Review

Hey Everyone!

I hope all of you had a fantastic Easter weekend (for those who celebrate it), and that you got some wonderful goodies from the Easter Bunny. I had a wonderful weekend with my family, my little sister got to do an egg hunt and we took her to the park and enjoyed the nice warm weather that finally decided to come to Canada. All in all it was a fantastic weekend of food and family.

Anyways today I will be talking about the Super BB Cream from Physicians Formula. So this is an all in one Beauty Balm (BB for those who may not know what that stands for) Cream that I have heard is supposed to be absolutely fantastic. I got this a couple weeks ago and it was a good price, about $20, which is pretty good for this type of product. This is both a moisturizer and foundation but I do still put my Clean & Clear Morning Burst moisturizer on before I put the BB Cream on. I got this in the Light shade because I have a very fair skin tone, and this product is actually slightly darker than my skin tone but I don’t think it’s so dark that it looks ridiculous, I think it makes my skin look a bit healthier.

The coverage of this product is fantastic so concealer is not necessary which is nice, especially if you only have a few minutes to get ready. It also makes a difference in the visibility of pores, by reducing them quite a lot. I also found that I wasn't breaking out after using this product which is a very big plus for me because I have sensitive skin so I tend to breakout when applying make-up. All in all I really like this product and the tube that it comes in is 1.2 Oz so it should last quite a while which is great!

If you have used this product let me know what you thought of it! And if you have any suggestions of any other products I should use let me know!

Only Pale People Can Understand

Hey everyone!

So this week’s favourite video is by a YouTuber named Laina. You may not have heard of her by that name but probably know her by her meme of being The Overly Attached Girlfriend. If you didn't know she had a YouTube channel I highly suggest you check it out because she is one of my favourite YouTubers. She is very funny even when she is not being her character of being The Overly Attached Girlfriend.

The video that I chose to feature this week is called Being Pale. This is exactly what it sounds like, it is a video about what having pale skin is like. She takes a funny spin on it and instead of it being about the problems of being pale, but how being pale is a good thing. I really found this
to be a very relatable video because I am a very pale individual and have been told multiple times that I look like I have glowing skin when I wear summer clothes. I am sure some of you can relate to this video as much as I have, and if you aren't a fellow pale person I’m sure you’d get a laugh out of watching this video.

Here is the video:

I hope that you enjoyed this video and I hope that you check out the rest of her videos because they are worth watching! If you have any question feel free to ask, or have any suggestions of videos that I should watch please let me know!

ipsy April 2014 Glam Bag Reviw

Hey everyone!

So I am very excited for my post today because this is the start of my monthly review of each month’s ipsy glam bag. I am very excited to be getting the ipsy glam bag each month because I have heard and seen such great reviews of it, and when I saw that I was taken off the waiting list I was very excited!

So this month’s theme is beauty rocks and I received Benefit’s lollitint in the shade Candy-Orchid which is a lip and cheek stain. I do really like the colour of this product but I did try it as the cheek stain and it didn’t spread very easily so I doubt I will use it as the cheek stain but I will definitely be using it as the lip stain.

There was another lip product in this month’s bag and it is the Tinted Lip Balm by Cailyn in the shade 14-Acid Pink. Now I don’t usually like bright colours because of my very pale skin tone but this is actually a very nice colour and I can definitely see myself picking up this product when my current one is gone.

In this bag there was also a travel sized eyeliner by Urban Decay and it is the Black Velvet Glide-On Eye Pencil from their 24/7 Velvet collection. I really liked this product as it went on nicely and stayed all day without seeming to rub off.

One of my favourite products of this bag is City Color’s White Gold Shadow & Highlight Mousse. I love the colour of this product and the fact that it is a Mousse. It’s very easy to apply and spread over the skin so you can easily apply it in small amounts to get a slight shine or add more to sparkle a bit more.

I also received Kiss lashes in their line Looks So Natural Lashes and got their Sultry Lashes. Now I am not usually one to wear fake eyelashes but I will give this product a chance and let everyone know how I feel about them in a later post.

Swatches of each product:

Black Velvet Eyeliner, Acid Pink Tinted Lip Balm, White Gold Shadow & Highlight Mousse and the Candy-Orchid lip and cheek stain.
Out of my fist ipsy bag I would definitely rebuy 3 out of the five products including the Tinted Lip Balm by Cailyn, Black Velvet eyeliner by Urban Decay, and the White Gold Shadow & Highlight Mousse by City Color. I really liked this glam bag and I can’t wait until next months!

Chella Eyeliner Pen Review

Hey everyone!

I know I didn’t post anything last week and I am very sorry for that. I had all of my final exams last week so I spent my entire week studying and did not have time to make entries to my blog like I wanted to. Since I am now finished my first year of university I should have more free time so I might be able to make more than 3 posts in a week.

Anyways, today I am reviewing Chella’s Eyeliner Pen in Indigo Blue. This is almost like a liquid liner but the liner itself is slightly different than usual liquid eyeliner. With regards to this product I really like the simple packaging and that the text on the packaging is the colour of the liner which is a nice feature. I also really like the colour of this product because it just adds a nice pop of colour to any look that you are to make. Applying this though is not as easy as most would think. I found this to be a slightly difficult product to use because it did not apply very smoothly and when it did eventually apply it didn’t evenly distribute the liner so I had to go over a spot multiple times for it to be even. So that was disappointing.

When I was finally finished apply this liner I did like the look of it but to get to the finished look it took more time than I thought it should have. I wouldn’t suggest buying this product because it is about $25.00 but if you get this as a gift or something than I wouldn’t just write it off. I will be playing around with this product a bit more to see if I can get a better result than I did with my first time applying it, so I will keep you updated.

The cute packaging!
What the pen tool looks like.

What the actual colour looks like.
If you have any suggestions on which products I should review next let me know! Or if you have any questions feel free to ask me anything.

Queen of The Internet

Hey everyone!

Since it is Friday which means it is my favourite video of the week post, I chose for this week a video by Tyler Oakley. If you don’t know who he is than you obviously do not spend as much time as I do on YouTube. He is a YouTuber that does a lot of different things including challenges, collaborations, and just sitting down and talking to his people (what he calls his viewers).

The video that I am featuring is a Q&A video that I found to be very hilarious because he makes whale noises, talks about butts being all over his body, and makes a funky hat with aluminium foil. This is just a good video and gives you a look into his personality if you have not
seen any of his videos yet.

I also wanted to feature him in my favourite of the week because he just raised over $500,000 for the Trevor Project which supports the LGBT community. He did this as a birthday campaign and with the help of his viewers including myself reached way beyond his initial goal of $150,000. Tyler Oakley did something amazing that will help many of the LGBT youth and that
makes him a fantastic person and role model.

Anyways I hope you enjoy this video and if you have any questions let me know!

Palmer's Conditioning Spray Oil Review

Hey everyone!

So today I want to talk about a product that I bought recently. It is Palmer’s Olive Oil Formula and it is the Conditioning Spray Oil. Now I am someone that has coarse thick hair and it tends to get very tangled and dry no matter what I do so I thought I would try this product out. If you are someone that has thinner hair or if your hair tends to look oily at times I wouldn’t suggest getting this product, but for those of us who don’t really get oily hair or hair that is oily but doesn’t look like it, I think this is a great product. It makes your hair feel very soft, make it shiny, made my hair less frizzy (which makes it magical!), and it smells really nice!

You can use this right after you’ve washed your hair or if you gone a day or two without washing it because it works just as great. Depending on how thick your hair is I would only put in a bit unless you have very thick hair like I do than you are free to use pretty much any amount because it just disappears in to the mass of your hair. On the package it says it is nice for putting over an already made braid because it will make it look nice and shiny, I have not tried that yet but what I have done is put in my hair when it up in a bun and it made my bun look very nice and shiny so I guess it’s like the same thing (maybe?).

If you want me to show what my hair looks like with the Palmer’s Conditioning Spray Oil let me know and I will do that! And if any of you have used this product before let me know what you thought if it!

The bottle of magic spray oil!
