The Twitter Universe Can Get Great Reactions

Hey everyone!

I know that it is very possible that you have already seen this but if you haven’t, go and watch this as soon as you are done reading this entry. As most of you know Twitter is filled with both good tweets and bad tweets and Jimmy Kimmel has found some of these bad tweets that are directed to celebrities and have the celebrity read them out loud and react to them.

It is absolutely hilarious and my featured video of this week is Celebrities Read Mean Tweets #7. This has to be my favourite out of all of them because of the way that June Squibb, Matthew McConaughey, and Sofia Vergara react. Though they are all brilliant Sofia Vergara is my favourite reaction and you will find out why when you watch the video, I’m not giving any spoilers. So go what this and be thoroughly entertained!

Also, just so you know next week from Monday to Friday I will be in Toronto so my posts might be a bit different, I'm thinking of doing photos from my trip as entries instead of my usual beauty, fashion, or food entry. I might also be taking video footage of my trip so if you want to see a vlog style video of my trip be sure to let me know!

Summer Shoes!

Hey everyone!

So I went shoe shopping today because I was in need of some cute and comfy summer shoes and I found exactly what I was looking for! I went into both Aldo and Spring and got a pair from each place. If you have an Aldo close to you I would suggest going there because they are actually having a sale right now up to 25% off so if you like Aldo I would go to see if there is anything you like.

The first shoe I got is Aldo’s Cherrasien shoe in Light Pink. These are cute shoes that are perfect for summer because they are low cut and do not fully cover the top of the foot. These are comfortable to walk in and easily can dress a casual look up a bit. The will definitely be something that I use to pair with a causal look, and a more dressed up look.

Aldo's Cherrasien
The second pair of shoes that I got is from Spring and they are the Giorgia in the colour Navy Nubuck. These are almost the same style as Toms but come down a bit lower on the foot. These are perfect for casual days or days when you are walking a lot because they are very comfy, but are also cute so you can where the with more dressy attire too.

Spring's Giorgia
Both of these shoes are comfortable to wear and can be worn in almost any situation. I am very happy with what I was able to find because it was exactly what I was looking for. Let me know what shoes you are earing this Summer, and let me know where you usually shop for shoes.

Yummy Treat!

Hey everyone!

I have recently discovered a yummy and healthy treat that I think you all would really enjoy. I was just browsing through Home Sense to kill time before going to work when I saw Chia seeds which I have been looking for so I picked those up and went to the check out. I was waiting for the next till to open up and I saw the Chia that I was getting in the line area and I noticed a package that was right beside them. I picked it up curious and read what it was just to pass the time waiting in line, and it sounded like something that I would really enjoy.

It is a product called Banana Coconut Snackaroons and they are absolutely delicious. I have always loved food that contains coconut and I really enjoy the taste of banana so I went out on a whim and got this just to try. Well it was a great decision because as soon as I tried one I knew that this had become one of my new favourite treats.

This is by Laughing Giraffe Organics and contains ingredients such as unsweetened Coconut, Agave, Almonds, Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, Banana, Vanilla Extract, and Himalayan Pink Salt. Each bag contains about 8 of the banana coconut treats and one of them is a pretty decent size so you would probably only want one for a little dessert. Once these are done I am going to try to find more of their products and see how I find them, and I will let you all know what I think!

So let me know if you have tried these products and what you thought of them if you did! Or if you know of similar products I would really love to know what they are!

Very Relatable!

Hey everyone!

So I found this video and thought it was perfect for my Favourites On Friday ( that is what I am calling Fridays entry from now on.) This is a short video so if you only have a couple minutes to spare you will be able to watch this. As soon as this video started I knew right away that this was the video that I wanted to talk about this week because I completely relate to the topic of this video.

If you don't know who this is, I will be shocked! This is an amazing YouTuber and goes by AmazingPhil. He is one of the popular British YouTubers, and for a good reason. He has this way of keeping his audience entertained and engaged throughout his videos which is a key quality that I look for when I watch videos.

Anyways, at the beginning of this video he talks about spots appearing just as you are going to do something like get you pictures taken. This is so relatable for me because it seems just as my skin has cleared up it breaks out as soon as I plan to go out. It's so annoying but it's sadly something that I am used to so I was happy to hear that I'm not the only one that goes through this.

I also found what he said about his apartment, and the feeling of how you really don't want to lose something, but don't realize it until it's threatened to be taken away to be very accurate. Since I have my own place now I get worried when my landlord comes over and feel the need to clean everything and make sure everything is perfect. I know it's not very rational but it's something that I end up doing because I just get worried with the 'what ifs".

Check out the video!

So that is it for today! I hope you liked this video! If you did let me know what your favourite part was and let me know any video that you think I should check out.

ipsy May 2014 Glam Bag Review

Hey everyone!

So I finally got my May ipsy Glam Bag which I have been excited to get all month long. My fist ipsy bag was amazing and the bag I got for May was no exception. It again was a fantastic bag and I can’t wait to see what I will get in June.

This month’s theme was Fresh Picks and it definitely lived up to the theme. I received Therapy Session Hair Mask by Eva NYC which I have used a couple times already and it is fantastic. I have very crazy hair and this definitely seemed to help repair the damage my hair has. Also, a bonus of this product is that is smells heavenly, so even if it doesn’t completely do what you want, it will make your hair smell great!

In this month’s Glam Bag I also received the Mineral Eyeshadow Duo #1 which are the shades Celestial and Opal and this product is by Pacifica. They are nice natural shades and have a bit of shimmer to them which can be a nice effect if you are going for a natural look or even going out. The shades aren’t too pigmented which I am fine with because with my skin tone more than a bit of colour can be too much, but it might not be something you all would enjoy.

Another Fresh Pick product that I got is Thermal Spring Water by Avene. I absolutely love this product because not only does it feel good because it’s summer and it’s a nice and refreshing spray, but it does its job.  I have sensitive skin which tends to make by skin itchy and usually a redness to my skin as well and this helps to sooth both of these problems. I would recommend this product to anyone because this is absolutely a must have for me now.

Now I don’t know about most people but I love scented things. I have a lot of scented candles, incense, body sprays, and perfumes. That being said, I was super excited when I saw that I got endless euphoria by Calvin Klein. This smells amazing and is the perfect travel size to fit in any purse or bag that you carry. It is a simple roll on perfume which is great so you can be watchful of how much you want to be putting on. Love this product! If you can get a hold of this or try your friends I highly recommend it!

The final product that I received this month is the perfect product for me and it is Sans Tan Anti-aging Sunscreen by Jersey Shore Sun. I was happy to receive this product because I am a very fair skinned individual and any skin protection I can get is welcome into my day to day routine. I will be using this in just a small area on my face where I get burned most often which is my cheek area and the bridge of my nose. It will be nice to be able to use a UV protection without smelling like sunscreen for my entire day.

Anyways that is it for now! If you received a ipsy Glam Bag this month let me know what you got and what you liked and disliked. I am very happy to say that all the products I received this month are amazing and I hope that the June ipsy bag is just as good, if not better.

Favourite Eateries!

Hey everyone!

So I spent the weekend back in my home town to spend time with my family, and celebrate Mothers Day and my moms birthday all in the same weekend. While I was in my home town I went to a few of my favorite eateries and if you are ever in the Cambridge area I highly suggest you check these places out.

The first place I want to talk about first is a cafe called Brown Dog. It is open all year round and serves up delicious treats and beverages.

The interior of the cafe is so cute and has a lot of vintage decor, which is one of my favourite things about this place. It also shows old silent films throughout the whole day and have a nice couch area where you can sit and enjoy the show and your order. (Sorry you can't really see the film, this was in the afternoon so the sun made it hard to see.)

This is just one of the cute vintage decor items that they have all through out the cafe. The decorations that they have throughout the cafe are all very cute and give off a feeling of home.

They have these cute numbers signs to give each customer so they can call orders and what I got was a Peachy Keen Fog.

As well as a deep fried mars bar. Both were so delicious and it was a fantastic treat to have in the afternoon. My mom ordered the same things that I did and we both agreed that the drink was very refreshing especially since it was quite warm outside. It was lovely going to Brown Dog during my weekend visit and as always the food and drinks were delicious.

Another one of my favourite places to get a treat is an Ice Cream parlor that is stationed in an old train. Indulge is only open during the late spring and the end of the summer months, but it is always an exciting time when it opens.

The prices for their different sizes and offers are great and they always give a generous amount of ice cream. I usually get my ice cream in a bowl, but they do make homemade waffle cones in the train so when waiting to pick your flavour(s) of ice cream you get this nice vanilla scent as you wait.

They also offer a number of different and delicious flavours including the two kinds that I had this weekend. I got a scoop of Raspberry Truffle and Pineapple and Orange Sherbet. It's the perfect amount of ice cream and it is the perfect way to end a summers day.

If you have any questions let me know and feel free to leave comments about your favourite spots to eat!

Doing Something You Love!

Hey everyone!

So today’s entry is going to be a bit shorter since Mondays was extremely long.  I sketched for the first time in months and I forgot how much I love it. It’s not the best thing out there but I’m a little out of practice since I haven’t sketched since September. I was too busy with school or wasn’t in the mood, but I picked up a pencil today and began doing something that I love. It’s funny that something as simple as a sketch that took about an hour and a half to complete, made me as happy as I am. It felt so accomplishing to finish this sketch and I’m so happy that I picked up that pencil instead of going to Netflix like I usually do. I did something I enjoy and can feel accomplished after I do which is better than going to the next movie or show not really doing anything productive with my free time.

The point of this post is to remember to make time for things you love. It could be reading, drawing, designing, or spending time with your friends and family. Even if you have 15 minutes of spare time in your day, spend it doing something that you love. I know that I will definitely be spending more time sketching and doing photography because those are two things that I love, but don’t normally make enough time for. So take a few minutes out of you day doing something that you enjoy and bask in that moment because there is no better feeling than doing something you like.

This is the sketch I did today if anyone was curious :)
So tell me what you love to spend you spare time doing or something that you wish you would have continued doing!

Moving Is Definitely Not That Easy

Hey everyone!

So as I said on my Friday post, today I will be talking about my adventure of moving into my own home. I moved into my house on April 30th, because we got permission from the landlord to move in a day earlier than the start of our lease. So we began moving at around 9:30am and by 11 we had the moving van packed with the first load of mine and all of my roommates things (I have 4 roommates) and we go to start moving things into our new house. We got there fine but as soon as we walked inside of the house we see that the living room is full of couches and items from what looked to be a bedroom. We then go over to our bar area and see more items piled everywhere from what looked like another room. By that point we were all confused as to why there was still stuff in our house and our landlord explained that he gave permission for two of the previous tenants to leave their stuff in our house until they could come and get them. The fun isn’t over yet.

Our landlord then decides to say something along the lines of “so yeah, when you guys move in tomorrow…” meaning that me and one of my roommates who planned to be staying overnight in our house which we were lead to believe was ours on April 30th, were not actually allowed to stay overnight in our house. So we were angry because when we asked for an early move in time we figured that it obviously meant that we were planning on moving all of our belongings and staying overnight on the same day, but no. So my mother and another parent expressed their feelings in a rather obviously angry fashion, but we ended up being able to stay over that night.

Also, within the past week my roommate and I discovered that we have a disgusting and creepy bug problem. Now I have lived in this area of Ontario my whole life and never have I ever seen this bug before, nor do I want to see it again. A few nights ago my roommate came home from work when she goes to go into her room and screams. I rush out thinking she’s hurt or something but no. We are faced with the most disgusting bug I have ever seen in my entire life. A House Centipede. Yes, look it up if you want to see what I am living with but I caution that it is not a nice thing to see. We did eventually kill it after a few freak-outs and almost heart attacks but it was, in the end destroyed.

Now lets move on to last night. Last night I was home alone because my roommate went to her parents’ house and would be staying over there for the night. Now we had someone moving in to stay with the two of us for the rest of the summer today so I was going to tidy up before they came. What I wasn’t expecting was to be interrupted by another disgusting House Centipede while I was home alone. I freaked. I scream and grabbed as many “weapons” as I could while calling my mother all at the same time. I was freaking out because I have being issues with bugs so while I was on the phone with my mother I was crying and flipping out while she was trying to calm me down. So after I got off the phone with my mother I go into killing mode. I grab what I can and prepare to kill this bug but no. It disappears like a Houdini Centipede! Now it is the next day and we still have not found this bug so I will be paranoid and freaked out until we find it.

Anyways that is it for today, I know this was a super long post with a lot of text but I really needed to get this off my chest. If you have any moving stories or bug stories feel free to share them just so I know that I am not alone and have bad luck.

Hilarious Prank

Hey everyone!

Since it is Friday which means it is the day I talk about my favourite video of the week, and todays video is absolutely hilarious. I’m sure you have all heard of PrankvsPrank or BFvsGF, if you have not heard of them, they are a couple that prank each other and post their pranks on YouTube. I am a big fan of them not only for their pranks but also for their daily vlogging channel where they show their day to day activities. If you have not seen their videos check out both of their channels because I guarantee you will not regret it.

So the video for this week is a prank done by Jeana to Jesse where she drew on his forehead while he was sleeping on an aeroplane and later walked through the airport in public with the image still on his head. I saw this video earlier and knew that this was the one that I had to share because it was too funny not to show other people. I absolutely love prank videos, especially ones done by PrankvsPrank because even if I am having a bad day I’ll automatically cheer up after watching one. So check out this video because it is a simple yet brilliant prank that I’m sure you would find entertaining to watch.

Anyways I hope you have all had a fantastic week, I know that I've had quite a  hectic one myself so hopefully next week isn't so crazy. I am still unpacking and cleaning up my new house which is taking longer then me and my roommate expected due to poor communication with our landlord but I think I will explain that on my entry for Monday. Anyhow I hope you enjoyed this weeks video and if you have any videos that you think I should watch and/ or talk about in next Fridays entry feel free to leave a comment! :)

I Love My Kobo Mini

Hey everyone!

So for my entry today I wanted to talk about one of my favourite electronic devices that I use both when I am at home, and while I travel. I bought this near the end of last summer and it was an impulse buy but it was one that I definitely did not regret. I bought the Kobo Mini in White and it has 2GB of memory and 1GB of internal storage so it can easily hold up to about 1,000 eBooks if the user wanted that many books on the device. It’s super light, the battery can last up to a month ( I know that I’ve had a charge that has lasted me over a month), can easily fit inside a purse or even a coat pocket, and has a non-reflective screen so it can be easily used if you are outdoors or traveling in some sort of vehicle.

Now I know some of you might say you don’t like or don’t believe that books should be in electronic form and I was on the same boat as you just last year, but I definitely see the appeal of an eReader. I still buy books in their physical form but eBooks are cheaper and some are even free so being a lover of books and being on a budget this is a practical way for me to be able to read the books that I want to be reading. There is also the fact that it weighs less than a pound and is small enough to fit inside a small purse is great because you won’t have to struggle to fit your heavy and bulky book inside of your bag.

What is also fantastic about the Kobo Mini is that you can change the font of your books as well as the size of the text, so for those of us who wear glasses and those of us who only like certain fonts it’s the perfect product. It is also a very easy product to use so children can easily work this as well as older generations who may have trouble seeing small text and working electronic devices this is a great substitute for physical books. All in all I absolutely love my Kobo Mini and would recommend it to anyone who has contemplated on buying one.

This is my Kobo Mini - You can get them for about $50 in most large retail centers.

P.s. Sorry for the bad quality photo I'm still moving everything around in my new house and I was unable to find my good cameras battery charger. :(

Peanut Butter and Banana Smoothie Recipe

Hey everyone!

So last Wednesday I moved into my own place so I was very busy with moving, unpacking, and cleaning so I was unable to make all of my usual posts last week but I have mostly everything unpacked now and just have a pit of cleaning to do so I am all set to make the posts that I want. Today I have another recipe that I want to share with everyone because it’s good, healthy, and very easy to make.

This is something that I love especially as a substitute to usually breakfast foods, and it is a peanut butter and banana smoothie. I started making this a few years ago and it is still one of my favourite smoothies to make. I’ve shared this with friends, one of which was reluctant to try it, and as soon as she has a taste I converted her and had her making it almost every day. So this is definitely something you might like.

For this you will need:

A blender
A banana
Peanut butter
A single serving yogurt cup
Milk

For this I used a Magic Bullet instead of a blender but either is fine to use because they both have the same end result. So first you start off with breaking up a banana into smaller chunks making it easier to blend.

Then add about two teaspoons of peanut butter.

After the peanut butter it is time to add your choice of yogurt. I recommend either vanilla or a fruit flavoured one just so it isn't a very prominent taste.

After you add the yogurt add about a cup of milk to start and if the smoothie is too thick add more milk.

Finally, Blend!

Now you have a yummy treat that not only tastes good, but is good for you. I hope that you enjoy this recipe and if you do let me know! Also, if you have any other recipes that you think I should try let me know and I will attempt to make it!
