Very Relatable!

Hey everyone!

So I found this video and thought it was perfect for my Favourites On Friday ( that is what I am calling Fridays entry from now on.) This is a short video so if you only have a couple minutes to spare you will be able to watch this. As soon as this video started I knew right away that this was the video that I wanted to talk about this week because I completely relate to the topic of this video.

If you don't know who this is, I will be shocked! This is an amazing YouTuber and goes by AmazingPhil. He is one of the popular British YouTubers, and for a good reason. He has this way of keeping his audience entertained and engaged throughout his videos which is a key quality that I look for when I watch videos.

Anyways, at the beginning of this video he talks about spots appearing just as you are going to do something like get you pictures taken. This is so relatable for me because it seems just as my skin has cleared up it breaks out as soon as I plan to go out. It's so annoying but it's sadly something that I am used to so I was happy to hear that I'm not the only one that goes through this.

I also found what he said about his apartment, and the feeling of how you really don't want to lose something, but don't realize it until it's threatened to be taken away to be very accurate. Since I have my own place now I get worried when my landlord comes over and feel the need to clean everything and make sure everything is perfect. I know it's not very rational but it's something that I end up doing because I just get worried with the 'what ifs".

Check out the video!

So that is it for today! I hope you liked this video! If you did let me know what your favourite part was and let me know any video that you think I should check out.

Take care! xxx

Moving Is Definitely Not That Easy

Hey everyone!

So as I said on my Friday post, today I will be talking about my adventure of moving into my own home. I moved into my house on April 30th, because we got permission from the landlord to move in a day earlier than the start of our lease. So we began moving at around 9:30am and by 11 we had the moving van packed with the first load of mine and all of my roommates things (I have 4 roommates) and we go to start moving things into our new house. We got there fine but as soon as we walked inside of the house we see that the living room is full of couches and items from what looked to be a bedroom. We then go over to our bar area and see more items piled everywhere from what looked like another room. By that point we were all confused as to why there was still stuff in our house and our landlord explained that he gave permission for two of the previous tenants to leave their stuff in our house until they could come and get them. The fun isn’t over yet.

Our landlord then decides to say something along the lines of “so yeah, when you guys move in tomorrow…” meaning that me and one of my roommates who planned to be staying overnight in our house which we were lead to believe was ours on April 30th, were not actually allowed to stay overnight in our house. So we were angry because when we asked for an early move in time we figured that it obviously meant that we were planning on moving all of our belongings and staying overnight on the same day, but no. So my mother and another parent expressed their feelings in a rather obviously angry fashion, but we ended up being able to stay over that night.

Also, within the past week my roommate and I discovered that we have a disgusting and creepy bug problem. Now I have lived in this area of Ontario my whole life and never have I ever seen this bug before, nor do I want to see it again. A few nights ago my roommate came home from work when she goes to go into her room and screams. I rush out thinking she’s hurt or something but no. We are faced with the most disgusting bug I have ever seen in my entire life. A House Centipede. Yes, look it up if you want to see what I am living with but I caution that it is not a nice thing to see. We did eventually kill it after a few freak-outs and almost heart attacks but it was, in the end destroyed.

Now lets move on to last night. Last night I was home alone because my roommate went to her parents’ house and would be staying over there for the night. Now we had someone moving in to stay with the two of us for the rest of the summer today so I was going to tidy up before they came. What I wasn’t expecting was to be interrupted by another disgusting House Centipede while I was home alone. I freaked. I scream and grabbed as many “weapons” as I could while calling my mother all at the same time. I was freaking out because I have being issues with bugs so while I was on the phone with my mother I was crying and flipping out while she was trying to calm me down. So after I got off the phone with my mother I go into killing mode. I grab what I can and prepare to kill this bug but no. It disappears like a Houdini Centipede! Now it is the next day and we still have not found this bug so I will be paranoid and freaked out until we find it.

Anyways that is it for today, I know this was a super long post with a lot of text but I really needed to get this off my chest. If you have any moving stories or bug stories feel free to share them just so I know that I am not alone and have bad luck.
