LUSH Hair Saviours!

Hey everyone!

Now reading the title of this post you most likely think that I am exaggerating how well these products have worked for me. I am not. I have very difficult hair, it doesn't like to cooperate with me and has a mind of its own. I have a hair type, that is curly, thick, and frizzy, so it is a super difficult hair type to work with.

$22.95
I have had little luck with hair products making my hair styled in a consistent way. I could be using the same product twice in a row and one day my hair will look really nice and the next day I would do my hair in the exact same way but it will look completely different, and in those cases I usually end up putting my hair up. However, I have recently found products that keep my hair from acting crazy.

$12.95
So, I went to LUSH looking to pick up a few face masks like I like when one of the lovely workers complimented me on my hair. I thanked her and jokingly said something along the lines of  " Thank you, but it is difficult to manage," She asked me what I used for my hair and during this time I was experimenting with different products. She then asked if I had every used the R&B Hair Moisturizer. Well when I came up to the front with what I wanted to purchase she gave me a sample size of the R&B and I went of my merry way. Little did I know how great the product was going to be.
Not the best picture of me but this is what my hair looks like with both the R&B and Sea Spray in.
I ended up loving the R&B Hair Moisturizer sample that I got and once the sample size was gone I went back to LUSH to pick up a full pot size. While I got that I also got their Sea Spray which holds hair in place. I use both of these products daily, starting with putting the R&B moisturizer in my hair and once my hair is styled how I like it I use the Sea Spray to hold it all in place. I really like these products and if you have difficult hair like I do I highly recommend these products!

New Music!

Hey everyone!

So a few days ago I got an email from a girl named Rachel to check out a an artist that she though I would like. Now you probably don't know this about me but growing up I was in my school choir in both my elementary school and in high school. So when I listen to artists that are very vocal focused ( not pop music) I tend to be kind of critical. Well I am so happy that Rachel shared the amazing talents of Hayley Solano with me because she is a very talented artist but I probably wouldn't have discovered her if it wasn't for the email I received.

I like that she is able to tell stories through her music and get the listener to take the journey with her. She has such a beautiful and calming voice that helps bring the listener into the stories that she is telling through her musical ability. Below I have her latest original song If I Was There and I am not kidding you when I saw that this has just been stuck in my head and I've been playing it constantly. The story behind the song is great and I'm a romantic and London is somewhere that I have considered moving to so I can picture this as a possible romance that I could have. I am the kind of person that likes to put myself in as the main character of the story and with this song I was able to do that.

If you like music that has meaning behind it, or songs that tell a story give this a listen because Hayley Solano is a fantastic artist. She does have original songs like the one I posted but she does also do covers as well from artists like Sam Smith and Katy Perry. She is super talented and if you have a minute to spare give If I Was There a little listen! :)

TRXYE!!!

Hey everyone!

So for this weeks video I have decided to show, for those that have not already seen/ heard, the amazingness of Happy Little Pill. This is a song off of Troye Sivan's EP TRXY, who is a fantastic YouTuber, Actor, and Musician. He announced that he was coming out with an EP at this years VidCon, and though I didn't attend VidCon I found out from Twitter that we could now pre-order it. Well of course I pre-ordered it, and the first 2000 to pre-order would be getting a signed copy of his album, which obviously would be impossible, right?

It has now been about a month since I've pre-ordered and the release date for the EP was the 15 of August. The only song that had been released off the EP was Happy Little Pill which is an amazing song! On the 12 of August a music video for Happy Little Pill was released and it was great. It was definitely a video that had a depth to it and was very visually appealing, and made sense in the aspect that it actually narrated the lyrics.

It is now the 16 of August and I am beyond words. So yesterday morning I got an email saying this:

I literally read the first line probably about 7 times before I realized what it said. "a signed version of the EP!" Honestly I didn't believe it. I thought it was sent to the wrong person, ir it was just a generic message sent to everyone who pre-ordered and I don't even know, accidentally put in the word signed. I was at work when I got a message from my roommate that a package arrived for me at our house. I knew instantly what it was and I couldn't wait until I got off work. So as soon as I arrived home I went into my room and opened the package. The email had no mistake. I actually got one of the 2000 signed copies  of TRXYE. I sat starring at the signature for about 10 minutes before I could even believe what my eyes were telling me. I still don't even have the words to describe how lucky I feel to have got this.

SEE!!!!! :D

It has now been two days since I got TRXYE and I have listened to this on repeat. I've probably listed to this whole album about 15 times now... actually probably more than that. It is honestly so good. I love every single song off of this EP, it is so raw and emotional and catchy and just fantastic. My favourite song off of TRXYE is definitely Gasoline, it's such an emotionally touching song, and the lyrics are brilliant. If you have not already bought this EP DO IT!! You will love each and every song, I can almost guarantee it.

The video is here for you so you can see how well they did in creating it, but for you to sample what your getting on the EP.

Struggles

Hey everyone!

So I know I haven't been on here for about a week now, and I am sorry if you were looking forward to reading my posts. I had this whole month planned out so I wouldn't miss any entries but as the month played out, it didn't work out that way. Now I wish I could tell you I had a really good reason for not being able to post, but that isn't the case.

As you may or may not know I went to Toronto a little over a week ago and I did some pretty awesome things with some really cool people. I went to Warped Tour for the first time which was so amazing and the day after that, or I should say the night after that I went out to another event. I went to basically a rave which was super awesome, and fun, especially since it was one where everyone was showered with paint. It was such a cool experience and  I've never been to a rave before but it was simply amazing!

Now you are probably wondering why I am telling you this. My reasoning for not posting may or may not seem or sound ridiculous but recently I have begun to feel quite lonely. I am 20 now and I am having those feelings where it seems everyone around has a significant other, but me. Now this is where the story of paint comes in. During paint I danced with a few guys ( and may or may not have shared a few kisses), but in the group that I went with there was someone that I spent most of the night dancing with ( and no we didn't do anything besides dance). Now this is where I get ridiculous. I have not had a boyfriend in quite a long time, have not dated for a little over a year because I wanted to get settled with university. Since coming home from Toronto I have begun to feel very lonely and upset because I feel like everyone around me has a significant other while I am alone.

I know this may seem ridiculous to most of you but I was feeling this so greatly that I couldn't be motivated to write something worth reading so that is why I have not posted. It's not like I want to necessarily be with the person I spent most of my night with at paint, I just miss the feeling of affection, and intimacy that being with someone brings. I want to be able to text someone and have cute romantic conversations, or cuddle with someone when I want to cuddle. In all honesty I just want to feel wanted.

So I'm sorry for missing out on my regular entries but I just could bring myself to write anything. If anyone else feels this way please let me know so we can chat and feel this way together. Also, if you have gotten over these types of feeling before please let me in on your secret! :)

Take care! xxx

(Also, I think this week my posts are just mostly going to be kinda the same style as this one, just a diffrent topic.)

I Love My Kobo Mini

Hey everyone!

So for my entry today I wanted to talk about one of my favourite electronic devices that I use both when I am at home, and while I travel. I bought this near the end of last summer and it was an impulse buy but it was one that I definitely did not regret. I bought the Kobo Mini in White and it has 2GB of memory and 1GB of internal storage so it can easily hold up to about 1,000 eBooks if the user wanted that many books on the device. It’s super light, the battery can last up to a month ( I know that I’ve had a charge that has lasted me over a month), can easily fit inside a purse or even a coat pocket, and has a non-reflective screen so it can be easily used if you are outdoors or traveling in some sort of vehicle.

Now I know some of you might say you don’t like or don’t believe that books should be in electronic form and I was on the same boat as you just last year, but I definitely see the appeal of an eReader. I still buy books in their physical form but eBooks are cheaper and some are even free so being a lover of books and being on a budget this is a practical way for me to be able to read the books that I want to be reading. There is also the fact that it weighs less than a pound and is small enough to fit inside a small purse is great because you won’t have to struggle to fit your heavy and bulky book inside of your bag.

What is also fantastic about the Kobo Mini is that you can change the font of your books as well as the size of the text, so for those of us who wear glasses and those of us who only like certain fonts it’s the perfect product. It is also a very easy product to use so children can easily work this as well as older generations who may have trouble seeing small text and working electronic devices this is a great substitute for physical books. All in all I absolutely love my Kobo Mini and would recommend it to anyone who has contemplated on buying one.

This is my Kobo Mini - You can get them for about $50 in most large retail centers.

P.s. Sorry for the bad quality photo I'm still moving everything around in my new house and I was unable to find my good cameras battery charger. :(
