National Coming Out Day!

Hey everyone!

So I don't know if all of you know, but tomorrow, October 11 is National Coming Out Day. I wanted to make my video of this week dedicated to this day because I know that there is potentially some of you that are struggling with this so that is why I want to showcase some of the coming out videos that are on the internet.

If you are not an LGBT person I still suggest that you watch this video because these people are so brave and inspiring people, and really have shown the world a very personal and emotional side to them. Though I am not an LGBT person, I am a very firm believer that everyone should be free to love anyone  no matter their gender. So take a few minutes out of your day and watch this video which summarizes some of the best coming out videos, or find the full videos on YouTube and see for yourself how amazing these individuals are.

If you are having problems dealing with coming out or coming to terms that you may not necessarily be straight The Trevor Project is a really great source and there are number that you can contact on this page. Or talk to me and I will do everything I can to help you through whatever you are struggling with, my email is where my about section but I'll leave it here as well emmydlalonde@gmail.com. I love you all and I hope that you have a fantastic weekend!

Take care!

The Trevor Project

Hey everyone!

Today I am sharing a very important video that is about something that I participated in a few months ago! Now I have been a avid watcher of Tyler Oakley's videos for quite a few years now and when I saw a video about how he, for his birthday would be starting a fundraiser for a organization called The Trevor Project.

If you are not familiar with what The Trevor Project is, it is an organization that focuses on helping prevent suicide in LGBTQ youth by providing sources and a 24/7 hotline to those who need someone to talk to. So Tyler Oakley first set goal amount was reached and by the end of his fundraising he was able to raise more than $500,000.  I did donate to this fundraiser because anybody no matter who they choose to love or who they are should be treated with the respect that everyone deserves. I wasn't able to donate much because I was in school at the time and wasn't working, but I was able to donate $25 dollars which isn't but knowing that I could have maybe had a hand in helping someone choose to live, rather than end their life.

So all in all this is a video that showcases what Tyler Oakley was able achieve with the help of his people. I was lucky enough to be a part of this and I wanted to share this with all of you to make you aware of this fantastic foundation and the amazing things that someone can do to help people.

For making my donation I did get a postcard which makes the fact that I could have helped someone so much more real and it is something that I will hold onto for the rest of my life. If you wan to know more about you can visit The Trevor Project or ask me and I can find out for you!

This is the postcard that I received for donating
Take care! xxx
